Crane consultancy is where our expertise lies. Our Lift Management Plans are bespoke and designed specifically for each client project we work on. They identify which type of cranes and lifting equipment the build needs, but also provide our clients with the reassurance of how we will manage the end-to-end process of all lifting operations. We understand the full responsibility that comes with managing lifting operations and it’s why we aim to deliver above and beyond when it comes to the required standard - we believe abiding by the Lift Plan through supervision is paramount and it where we go the extra mile to prevent a minor incident from turning into an accident. 1. All of our Supervisors come with optional body cameras (at no extra cost to you). Our body Cams enable us to quickly identify the root cause of any incident, as well as provide the capacity to provide insight to learn from incidents and prevent reoccurrences. It also reinforces the message to sub-contractors that corner cutting is not an option. (It’s a system we currently employ on our clients’ sites with great success).2. Observation Forms and the Sub-Contractor 3-strike rule: In essence this means where any sub-contractor lifting team has had three minor consecutive incidents, we will stand them down in order to be re-briefed and prevent an accident from occurring. We find this is an excellent tool to learn how and why these incidents occur and also sends a message that negligence wont be tolerated. We currently employ this system to great effect. 3. Its also important to know that our Supervisors are there to help. We pride ourselves on being approachable and will assist wherever possible with any queries with regards to lifting operations. All of our Supervisors and slingers (and sub-contractor lift teams) will have PDF copies of any relevant Lift Plans tethered to their device for quick reference at mobile safe zones. We find that incidents can arise from individuals not have having the confidence to ask questions or engage with Management and PDF lift plans provide an efficient way to have all the information needed in the form of an app. 4. Allocation sheets: For your convenience, Coordinators and supervisors will record daily activity, so you know exactly how much crane time is being utilised by subcontractors and an important tool for those daily dabs meetings. 5. Lastly, our Coordinators and Supervisors are experienced professionals and upon request rescue at height trained personnel, can fit seamlessly into your existing Crane rescue plan. These five areas form the pillars of our approach and will come at no extra cost to you. We're pledging to change industry attitude to lifting operations and make it a safer and more efficient process for all parties.
